Sean O’Dowda Stephens (born 1974, North York, Ontario, Canada) is the ninth modern Taoiseach of the O’Dubhda Clan, inaugurated on Thursday 9 October 2025 at the Enniscrone Mound, within Castle Field beside the ruined Enniscrone (O’Dowda) Castle — the same ground on which the last O’Dubhda inauguration of the old order was held in 1595, and the first reinauguration on native soil in over four hundred years. A young rowan sapling was planted at the gate of the O’Dowda Castle, an echo of the legendary Rowan of Dubhros that anchors the clan’s earliest folklore. The ceremony fell on the Silver Jubilee of the first modern inauguration at Cahirmore in 2000. He served as Tánaiste from 2022 to 2025.

By day, Sean is a CEO and entrepreneur, having founded and led several start-ups, and is the principal behind Treefrog Inc. Alongside his commercial work, he has dedicated significant time to volunteer leadership in heritage and clan affairs, culminating in his election as Taoiseach.

By night, Sean is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who performs as Sean Stephens. He maintains a registered presence on Spotify with thousands of monthly listeners across Sydney, London, Melbourne, Chicago, and Toronto — a markedly international audience for an independent artist. His material favours melodic, lyric-driven songwriting; live, his stage presence has been described, fairly, as “over the top — in the best possible way.”
