Patrons

The backbone of the clan.
A rowan grows on the ancestral mound because someone planted it. Patrons are the people who keep the work alive — the research, the gatherings, the restorations, the small daily acts of preservation no grant ever covers.

Our Patrons are the people who keep the work alive. Their support — quietly, year after year — pays for the research, the heritage trips, the rebuilding of castles in our minds and on the page, the gatherings, the genealogy clinics, and the small acts of preservation that no grant ever covers.

Without them, this would be a website. With them, it is a clan.

The Patrons listed below have given their permission to be recognised publicly. Many more give in private; we are grateful to every one of them.
