A live, recorded guided tour of odubhda.org — the new clan website — and a walk through how memberships, the directory, the family exchange, voting, the seanchas, and the storefront all fit together. Open to everyone with the O’Dubhda name (in any of its many spellings) and to anyone curious about the clan.

What we’ll cover

Roughly an hour, screen-shared, with questions welcome throughout.

  • The front door. Homepage, navigation, the four homelands, the castles, the seanchas blog.
  • The O’Dubhda name. Spellings, the nine name pages, our Notable O’Dubhdas directory, how the fame score works.
  • Membership tiers. Kinfolk (free) · Voting · Patron · Taoiseach’s Circle — what each gets you, and how to join or upgrade.
  • The member dashboard. Your profile, your photos, the member directory, billing, and the persistent member-area top strip.
  • The Family Exchange. Host a cousin, visit a cousin — how Patron-tier hospitality works.
  • Voting and webinars. How clan voting happens (off-site, by design) and what’s in the webinar archive.
  • The storefront. Merchandise, the O’Dubhda whiskey cask, gift memberships, and the member discount.
  • Sources and scholarship. Our growing bibliography and how every page now credits its sources.
  • Memorials, recommendations, and what’s coming next.

Who it’s for

Anyone bearing the name — O’Dowd, O’Dowda, Dowd, Dowdy, Doody, Dawdy, Duddy, Duddey, and the many other branches — and anyone descended from, married into, or simply curious about the clan. You do not need to be a member to attend.

What you’ll need

  • A laptop, tablet, or phone with Zoom.
  • An RSVP on Eventbrite (free) — the Zoom link goes out by email the morning of the event.
  • A cup of tea, optionally. It is an O’Dubhda gathering after all.

After the event

The session will be recorded and posted to our webinar archive within 24 hours, with chapter markers so cousins in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia can jump to the parts they care about. Everyone who RSVPs gets the recording link automatically, whether they made it live or not.
